After the British criminal women from 1900 , here is a new series of portraits of criminals created in Australia by the New South Wales Police Department , between 1910 and 1930. What is amazing in these images is that the criminals photographed had the right to pose as they wished, with the clothes they were wearing at the time of their arrest. These mugshots offer an unusual look at the Australian crime, but also at fashion at the time. These vintage photographs are from the collections of the Justice & Police Museum / Historic Households Trust .
