Beautiful Illustrations of Tokyo inspired by The New Yorker (14 pics)

Founded in 2016 by British illustrator Andrew Joyce , French art director David Robert and Japanese illustrator and creative director Tatsushi Eto , The Tokyoiter is a collection of imaginary magazine covers inspired by The New Yorker and The Parisianer . Like its American and French cousins, The Tokyoiter’s project is an opportunity to tackle political issues but also to celebrate illustration, cartooning, drawing, design and, more broadly, creativity. A collective of 40 illustrators have been invited to pay tribute to the city of Tokyo such as talented artists Fern Choonet , Luis Mendo , Mateusz Urbanowicz or Keiko Shindo to name a few.
