Killing Time – A fascinating kinetic sculpture based on ferrofluid (11 pics)

Entitled Killing Time, this impressive kinetic sculpture uses ferrofluids to create a strange hourglass, where the black liquid seems to come alive to interact with a metal human skull. Amazing mix of art, design and technology, the artwork Killing Time was created by the artist  Mesple , and does not depend on the time that passes to exist, but on the human presence. The sensors in this sculpture detect visitors, setting the ferrofluid in motion with a powerful electro-magnet. Beautiful, fascinating and disturbing.
