Dancing colors, making sound waves visible (9 pics)

How does sound look like? This is the question that pushed Fabian Oefner to make sound waves visible in his colorful project, dancing colors. You can hear sound, but you can’t see it, until now. Fabian Oefner , a talented photographer, found an interesting way to give sound color and a visible shape. By placing a thin foil of plastic over an ordinary speaker, and then adding over that foil, hundreds of tiny colored crystals, would make any sound played through that speaker take a colorful shape. Depending on the pitch, volume and tone, the shapes would change their appearance, forming these dancing colors. For more information about Fabian and his projects, have a look at his portfolio . I promise that you will not regret it. The way he plays with different elements to get these colorful shapes is just amazing.
