YOLOCAUST – Inserting tourists in photos of concentration camps (9 pics)

YOLOCAUST is a shocking project, but above all a response at the level of the behavior of the tourists. Overwrought by the images of people taking pictures in ridiculous poses at the holocaust memorial, installed in Berlin by the architect Peter Eisenman , the artist Shahak Shapira decided to photoshop these photos of tourists, found on social networks, into old pictures of concentration camps. An incredibly inappropriate contrast from which immediately emerges a deep sense of discomfort and shame. Artist Shahak Shapira explains his  YOLOCAUST project with a simple question: How do you behave in a place that symbolizes the death of six million people?
