The world's first floating city will be launched in 2020 in the Pacific Ocean! (14 pics)

The first floating city in the world, designed by the Seasteading Institute, will begin its construction in 2020 in the Pacific Ocean! This non-profit organization, based in San Francisco, has been working on this massive project since 2008, but has just reached an agreement with the government of French Polynesia to launch a life-sized test, to then make evolve its structure until 2040.

This huge floating city, the first of its kind, will be a start-up country, whose goal is to free humanity from politicians and rewrite the rules that govern society .

Kitty Living – When architects create amazing beds for cats (14 pics)

Kitty Living is an amazing project that brings together the cream of Los Angeles architects to create beds for cats! The Fixnation organization, dedicated to assisting stray cats, came up with the idea of mixing design and architecture by inviting architects to create innovative and original cat beds.

These cat beds will be auctioned at the  Architects for Animals – Giving Shelter exhibition, and the proceeds will help the association in its mission.

American Architecture Prize Winners 2017 (16 pics)

Three beautiful architecture projects have been selected as the winners of The  American Architecture Prize  (AAP) 2017, which aims to recognize “creativity and innovation in architectural, interior and landscape design.”

An expert Jury judged thousands of entries from 68 countries and winners were selected from 41 categories.

The first underwater restaurant in Europe will also be an artificial reef (5 pics)

Named UNDER, this project will be the first underwater restaurant in Europe, but also an artificial reef for the study and protection of marine life! This fascinating concrete structure that sinks into the sea reveals inside a dining room, immersed 5m below the surface and opening on the North Sea with a massive acrylic glass.

In addition to the restaurant, UNDER will also be a marine research center, and will become an artificial reef for mussels by providing a new ecosystem for local marine wildlife.
