These beautiful lights were designed by cinematographer Takao Inoue as part of a small exhibition on display at Milano Salone earlier this year. The lights are made from real dandelions that have been suspended inside an acrylic block with a miniature OLED light embedded within the stem.

An Immersive Light Installation that Breathes with You (4 pics)

Prana is an interactive light installation designed by creative studio B-Reel and exhibited at the Fridman Gallery (NY), until 31st July. Thanks to the radar technology, the breathing sensor Xethru and with 13,000 LEDs, this sculpture matches its light intensity according to the breathing of the visitors.

NASA Grows Edible Vegetables in Space (3 pics)

For the first time, the NASA managed to grow edible vegetables in space and particularly red romaine lettuce. On the international spatial station and thanks to their vegetables production system called Veggie , the unit was able to make fresh salad in a kind of cabin providing a controlled temperature, a lighting with red, green and blue LED lights and enough nutrients.
