LaBel Valette – 100 street artists are investing an abandoned castle (27 pics)

As part of the LaBel Valette Festival, 100 street artists are investing the French domaine La Valette, in Pressigny-les-Pins, consisting of a castle, a chapel and two three-storey dormitory buildings, together representing more than 10 000 square meters of walls to paint! We already talked about the LaBel Valette Festival with the impressive creation of Okuda on the facade of the castle , and I propose you today to discover some of the works created by the artists! On the menu: Eddie Colla, Matthieu Dagorn, Theo Lopez, Tuco, Noty Aroz, Niark1 and so on.

Organized by  Urban Art Paris and scheduled for Spring 2018, the  LaBel Valette Festival will offer for three days an event combining street art, music, conferences, workshops or live paintings.

Mural Festival 2017 – All the walls of the street art festival of Montreal (27 pics)

Once again this year, the Mural Festival 2017 of Montreal brought together some world-renowned street artists to create gigantic murals across the city! For this new edition, the artist 1010 was in the spotlight, surrounded by talented street artists such as Ron English, INSA, Fintan Magee, Felipe Pantone, Ruben Sanchez, Smithe and so on. To be noted, the impressive performance of INSA and his animated mural, to be discovered below as a GIF.

A selection of the creations of Belgian street artist Stefaan De Croock, aka  Strook , who transforms old pieces of wood into massive portraits! Reclaimed paneling, old doors or vintage tables, Strook cut and assembles his geometric portraits while preserving the textures, the peeling paintings and the marks of time, in order to pay tribute to the past with a benevolent nostalgia.

Art in Ad Places – When art invades advertising spaces (26 pics)

What if art invades advertising spaces? In line with  Brandalism and  Billboard Creative , here is today the Art in Ad Places project, which seizes the advertising spaces of New York to display artworks.

Launched in January 2017, this collective of artists, curators and enthusiasts wants to fight against the omnipresence of advertising, generating a real visual pollution, replacing it with creations proposed by artists from all over the world! You can follow this awesome project, currently funded by anonymous patrons, on their website  Art in Ad Places  or their  Instagram account.
