Ceramic Hill Installation in London (5 pics)

Turkish Ceramics commissioned Turkish creatives at SO? Architecture and Ideas to design a summer installation at the Royal Academy of Arts’ entrance, in London. Through their work, they had to think the concept of transformation ; that’s how Unexpected Hill is born. In the building and the used materials, they’ve made a sculpture in blue and white ceramics that explores the fact of turning a 2D decorative element into 3D thanks to the use of triangles and the influence of muqarnas (ornemental patterns of the Islamic architecture). This installation transforms the space into a place of relaxation, exploration and collaboration where visitors can sit.
