With his project of Exo Prosthetic Leg , an incredible 3D printed prosthesis in titanium, the American designer William Root wants to redefine the design model of the prosthesis. Instead of making multiple adjustments, this designer created a simplified process thanks to a special 3D scanner, allowing to precisely capture the shape of the patient’s leg. The model is then printed in 3D with titanium, a lightweight, robust and biocompatible metal. The prosthesis, much less expensive to create, also becomes a beautiful object with a futuristic aesthetic.
